Multisizer Coulter Counter

Using the Coulter Principle, also known as the Electrical Sensing Zone (ESZ), the Multisizer™ 4 COULTER COUNTER® allows for particle size and concentration analyses.  The Multisizer™ 4 COULTER COUNTER® provides size distribution in number, volume, and surface area in one measurement, with an overall sizing range of 0.4 µm to 1600 µm.

Beckman Coulter Delsa™ Nano Series Zeta Potential and Submicron Particle Size Analyzer

Delsa™ Nano Series Zeta Potential and Submicron Particle Size Analyzer

The Delsa™ Nano uses photon correlation spectroscopy (PCS) to establish particle size by measuring the rate of fluctuations in laser light intensity scattered by particles as they diffuse through a fluid.  Electrophoretic light scattering (ELS) determines electrophoretic movement of charged particles under an applied electric field from the Doppler shift of scattered light for zeta potential measurement.   This is the first instrument in the industry that measures zeta potential distribution of concentrated solutions and of solid surfaces or films using ELS.

Nikon Labophot Trinocular Microscope

The Nikon Labophot Trinocular Microscope is equipped with a Nikon model Trinocular Head.  On the 5-position nosepiece, this microscope has three Nikon objectives (4x, 10x, 40x) as well as two Leitz Wetzlar fluorescence objectives (40x, 100x).

The Spot RT3 digital camera is the latest model from the SPOT RT series.  It offers several advances from its RT and RT2 predecessors, such as a 20x reduction in dark current, 25% lower read noise, higher sensitivity, greater dynamic range, and triple the acquisition speed.

Beckman Coulter ViCELL XR Automated Cell Viability and Counting Analyzer

ViCell XRThe ViCELL automatically performs the trypan blue viability cell staining method and cell counting with video imaging of the flow-through cell. Extended analytical size range to 2 microns, enhanced image magnification (6.75Ã), and circularity measurements allow separation or target material from debris.  The 21 CFR part 11 analysis software provides percent viability, total and viable cell concentrations, mean size, circularity, real time images, and bioprocess monitoring.
